Our work for this dance performance by London-based Mavin Khoo—organised to raise funds for Pusaka, a Center for the Documentation of Traditional Dance, Drama, and Music in Malaysia—was a small project. It consisted of basic collaterals, i.e. the poster, flyer, programme leaflet, and tickets.

In spite of its scale, however, this project is a clear demonstration of our studio’s design philosophy and values. Upon settling on a design concept based on the client’s brief and the visual materials given to us, we take an integrated approach in the creation of every relevant collateral, such as in terms of mood, colours, and use of space.

In all of our works, we take especial care in regards to typography, always keeping it timeless and elegant (or radical, if required by the brief) instead of following trends. This is evident in most of our projects, even from the mid-90s.
